Planning Tips

  • Build your calendar in December. Map out all 4 quarters and pre-schedule recurring campaigns.
  • Batch your content. Write all campaign copy for the upcoming quarter in one sitting, then schedule messages in advance.
  • Layer with email. Use email for detailed content and SMS for time-sensitive nudges. They work best together.
  • Track performance by quarter. Compare opt-out rates and engagement across seasons to refine your cadence.
  • Respect frequency. Aim for 2-4 messages per month. During heavy event seasons, you can stretch to 5-6 if the content is high-value and varied.
